Brief biography of partner

Born as the research branch of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the I-SENSE Group is a dynamic research unit part of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS).

Since its founding in 2002, I-SENSE has grown into a leading hub for basic and applied research in electrical, electronic, and computer engineering—combining academic excellence with a passion for innovation.

With 10 cutting-edge research divisions and a global network of 300+ partners, we transform ideas into real-world solutions—advancing intelligent transport, smart systems, virtual environments, assistive tech, and more. Backed by over 200 successful EU and national projects, a team of 100+ experts, and two thriving spin-offs, I-SENSE blends academic excellence with industry impact to tackle the challenges of today and create the technologies of tomorrow.

Role in the project

ICCS serves as the project coordinator in DISARM, leading the project management and coordination work package (WP1).

In addition, it will also be leading the work package on digital assets development (WP6), and contributing to various other WPs and tasks, including clustering activities with other projects and initiatives.
