The General University Hospital in Prague (GUHP) is a leading healthcare facility and one of the largest hospitals in the Czech Republic. It delivers basic, specialized, and highly specialized medical, nursing, outpatient, and diagnostic care to both children and adults in all core medical disciplines. GUHP also provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services, including the complex preparation of cytostatic and sterile medications.
The Department of Oncology at the General University Hospital in Prague and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University is one of the leading cancer centres in the Czech Republic. Thanks to its combination of modern medical methods, research, and interdisciplinary cooperation, the department provides state-of-the-art diagnostics and comprehensive treatment for patients with cancer. The department also focuses on cancer prevention and early detection. It offers monitoring programs for individuals at increased risk due to factors such as family history or genetic predisposition. Through these efforts, it plays an important role in both treatment and actively protecting the health of the population.
Role in the project
In the DISARM project, GUHP will be working with patients, recruitment, monitoring, and evaluation of results, as well as the collection and processing of clinical data and survival monitoring.
